The Dream Awake is a stage play by Owen Dodson with incidental music by Llloyd McNeill. The above is a collective personnel listing, members of the quartet are heard only on a few tracks. They are not identified, but probably identical to his sidemen of the following year. Some numbers are songs with guitar accompaniment, some are sung by a chorus. So far I was not able to audition the complete album.

Except for the vocals and some piano, players are not specified for each track. McNeill's flute can be heard on two tracks, he solos on Vou-Me Embora.

The above is a collective personnel listing. The instrumentation ranges from percussion tracks with overdubs to duets and various larger bands. Lloyd McNeill does not solo but plays only ensemble parts on some tracks, the flute solos are all attributed to Mauricio Smith. Only the first two tracks are clearly marked as recorded on June 6, 1973; all tracks on the second LP could have been recorded on either date.
The Tobacco Road issues are misleading, as Stanley Clarke definitely plays only on two tracks of the LP; Joe Beck solos only on two tracks. Their legitimacy is questionable.
