The diet seemed to be too avant-garde for the Hermosa Beach crowd. Personnel included Anthony Braxton, reeds; Corea, electric piano; Dave Holland, bass; Barry Altschul, drums. The group had just come from a jazz workshop at the University of California at Irvine, California, before opening at the Lighthouse. Jimmy Smith followed Corea."
